Get started in 10 minutes

From signing in to your first lesson with Focuspilot, then the AI and Studio. Ten minutes, step by step.

This is the way from first sign in to a lesson where you help the class focus. You do not need to know anything beforehand.

1. Sign in

Sign in with the school's Google or Microsoft. Usually the school has already added you and your class. If you cannot find a class, ask the school administrator for help.

2. Open Focuspilot

Go to Focuspilot in the menu. You see your Focuspilot panel. Choose your class.

Do you see the text "Inga elever online ännu" (No pupils online yet)? Then Focuspilot is not installed on the pupils' computers yet. The school administrator does that once. Press "Kopiera länk till installationsguiden" (Copy link to the install guide) and send the link to the administrator. Pupils do not need to do anything.

3. See the class

When pupils are online you see a card for each pupil. You see straight away who has joined.

4. Choose a mode

There are three modes:

  • Explore: pupils browse freely.
  • Focus: the class gets calm to work. Sites that do not belong to the lesson wait.
  • Lock: pupils see only what you choose, for example a single page.

Start with Focus and let the class browse freely with Explore when you are done. Explore always wins: one press and everything is open again.

5. Help one pupil

Enlarge a pupil's card and you see the pupil's tabs. Help the pupil back by closing the tab, without walking over. The pupil always sees when you are looking at the screen.

6. Ask the AI

The AI in Viafocus is your assistant. Write what you want done, for example "Put 8B in focus". It asks before it does anything, and nothing happens until you approve. If the AI is switched off at your school, the school administrator can turn it on under Settings, Features.

7. Make a lesson in Studio

In Studio the AI can build a lesson for you from a topic, a year and a length of time. You change it as you like and run it live with the class.
