1. What this statement covers

Viafocus AB is responsible for viafocus.net. We want as many people as possible to be able to use the service, whatever their abilities. Here we describe how viafocus.net meets the Swedish Act (2018:1937) on accessibility to digital public services, the gaps we know of and how you can report problems to us.

The statement covers the whole web service at viafocus.net:

  • The public pages, for example the home page, the product pages, pricing, the agreements and the terms.

  • The teacher views for Focuspilot and Studio.

  • The school admin views.

  • The pupil pages and the lesson player, where pupils take lessons, quizzes and exams.

The Chrome extension and the Windows agent are not part of this statement. They are programs the school installs on pupil computers, and what a pupil sees of them is mainly messages and pages shown when the teacher has chosen Focus or Lock. We work towards the same requirements for them, but they are not part of this assessment.

The Act applies to public sector bodies. Many of our customers are schools it covers, so we set out here how our service meets its requirements.

2. Compliance status

viafocus.net is partially compliant with the Act on accessibility to digital public services, because of the gaps described in section 4.

The requirements of the Act correspond to WCAG 2.1 at level AA, through the European standard EN 301 549. That is the level we assess the service against.

3. If you cannot use part of the service

Do you need content in another format, or can you not reach a feature? Write to support@viafocus.net and tell us what you were trying to do, and we will help you get the information another way.

If you are a pupil, you can also ask your teacher, who can often give you the same task in another form.

4. Known gaps

This is what we know we do not yet fully meet:

  • Some interactive lesson content, for example exercises, games and charts, lacks text alternatives or a description that works with screen readers.

  • Images in lessons that teachers create may lack alternative text.

  • Charts and statistics in the teacher and school admin views sometimes lack a text version.

  • Some components, for example some menus, dialogs and interactive exercises, cannot be fully operated with a keyboard alone.

  • Colour contrast is too low in some places, in some themes and lesson designs.

We fix these gaps on an ongoing basis and have added automated checks of the public pages with the axe tool. We update this statement when something changes.

5. Report a problem

Have you found something that does not work, or do you think we do not meet the requirements of the Act? Write to support@viafocus.net. Please tell us which page it concerns and what happened. We will confirm that we have received your message and get back to you as soon as we can.

6. Supervision

The Agency for Digital Government (Myndigheten för digital förvaltning, Digg) supervises the Act on accessibility to digital public services. If you are not happy with how we have handled your comments, you can report it to Digg: https://www.digg.se/tdosanmalan

If you use Viafocus through your school, you can also contact the school, which is responsible for the digital services it offers.

7. How we assessed the service

The assessment is a self-assessment, that is a review we carried out ourselves. No external party has reviewed the service. We have reviewed the service against WCAG 2.1 at level AA.

The most recent assessment was made on 15 October 2026.
